1. About the Service

Gossipy is a real-time voice AI companion designed for conversation, reflection, and emotional support. By creating an account and using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Important Disclaimer

Gossipy is not a medical, mental health, or therapeutic service. It is an AI — not a human professional. Gossipy does not diagnose, treat, or provide clinical advice. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

AI responses may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Gossipy is a conversational tool, not a substitute for professional guidance of any kind.

3. Your Account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Gossipy. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Gossipy to:

  • Generate, share, or promote illegal, harmful, or abusive content.
  • Attempt to extract harmful, dangerous, or illegal instructions from the AI.
  • Harass, impersonate, or harm others.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service, its infrastructure, or other users.
  • Use the service for any purpose that violates applicable law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Your Content and Memories

When you talk to Gossipy, we derive text-based memories from your conversations to personalise future sessions. You own your data. You can request deletion of all your memories and account data at any time.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your conversations to train AI models. Your data is used solely to provide the service to you.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Gossipy may offer free and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to the pricing and billing terms presented at checkout. You can cancel your subscription at any time — access continues until the end of your billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep Gossipy available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service is provided on a best-effort basis. We may need to take the service offline for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen circumstances.

We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gossipy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for:

  • Any decisions you make based on AI responses.
  • Emotional distress or harm arising from conversations with the AI.
  • Loss of data, including conversation memories.
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or EUR 100, whichever is greater.

9. Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, we will erase all your personal data and memories.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these terms or the service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland, without prejudice to your rights under applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
